When you've been in business for three decades and have achieved extraordinary results, it's a reason to share that success beyond our standard circle of partners and customers. We wanted to celebrate the stability, the family atmosphere and, above all, the excellent results achieved by the company thanks to the amazing work of our employees by entering several competitions. We believe that also in this way we can help to raise awareness of the field of geodesy and geomatics among the wider public. In addition, everything was beautifully connected by its timing with establishing the Czech Chamber of Surveyors and increasing the prestige of Authorized Surveying Engineers (AZI).
We have come the longest way by entering the FIRMA ROKU A ŽIVNOSTNÍK ROKU 2024 competition. From the registration itself, filling in a series of questionnaires, interviews with the jury, and the regional round to the final evening, several months have passed.
This competition was created 19 years ago as a project to support small and medium-sized businesses, to inspire successful entrepreneurs, traditional family businesses, and budding enthusiasts. It is sponsored by the governors of all regions of the Czech Republic, professionally supervised by the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, and announced by Hospodářské noviny.
We greatly appreciate the 1st place we won in the regional round (specifically the Central Bohemia Region) and the subsequent placement among the five super finalists in the final round, which took place in mid-December 2024 at Žofín and was also broadcast by Czech Television.
As a family company with moral values, we participated in the Národní ceny ČR za kvalitu v rodinném podnikání organized by the Quality Council of the Czech Republic and the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Sole Traders of the Czech Republic (AMSP CR).
The aim of the project is (as it says on the website of the Quality Council of the Czech Republic) "to connect family members as family members and the same family members as co-workers and employees of the company". The basic principles for the success of family businesses include wisdom passed down from generation to generation, pride, trust, flexibility, stable corporate culture, speed of decision-making, loyalty, honesty, ethics, responsibility towards the next generation, the ability to motivate people in their environment, support the development of the region, etc.
At the Senate of the Czech Republic, where the winners were announced, the owner of the company, Mr. Ing. Hrdlička the winning statuette and a commemorative certificate for the 1st place, which our company shared with another finalist, GUMEX, spol. s r. o.
We won the highest place in the Central Bohemia Region in another competition. This is the Ocenění českých lídrů under the Helas business platform and the patronage of BusinessInfo.cz. It is a project that highlights and appreciates the importance of Czech companies based on turnover, number of employees, and other measurable aspects.
The establishment of the Czech Chamber of Land Surveyors brought, among other things, the opportunity for specialists in the field of surveying to officially complete their expertise by obtaining the title of Autorizovaný zeměměřický inženýr (AZI) after completing five years of experience and passing examinations. Several of our colleagues also immersed themselves in their studies and their efforts were rewarded by obtaining the AZI title, for which we congratulate them and are glad to have them on our team.
If you know Forbes, you know that it is one of the world's most popular business magazines, which is also published in a Czech version. It is the second time we have been ranked among family-owned companies. However, in the second half, the fact that we were noticed by a Czech media outlet that is not professionally involved in our field makes us very happy.
Entrepreneurship brings many challenges and obstacles. That is why we appreciate all the awards and successes that help us visualize the successful steps on our long journey and motivate us to continue our work. The previous years have been challenging. Thanks to all of you who have contributed and are contributing to this common success.
