For the second time, together with GEOSTAR, we took advantage of the unique opportunity to present our services and especially our new products at the prestigious event of the year.
On 23 and 24 October 2024, the 31st Road Conference was held at the Exhibition Grounds in České Budějovice, again organized by the Czech Road Society, under the auspices of the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic Mgr. Martin Kupka, the event became a meeting point for experts, companies, students, and representatives of public administration to discuss current topics related to transport infrastructure. Our company HRDLIČKA spol. s r.o. could not miss this event.
With GEOSTAR we had the opportunity to present our services and products on a joint stand again. Visitors could personally meet not only representatives of HRDLIČKA spol. s r.o., for example, the Executive Director Ing. Jan Floriánek or the managing director Ing. Martin Hrdlička, but also other personalities from the business: prokurista and business director Jaromír Prošek, Mgr. Vojtěch Hrdlička, Director of the Geodesy Department Ing. Petr Pavelka and representatives from marketing: Mgr. Lucie Kmochová or Kateřina Skočdopole, and of course the management of GEOSTAR.
Participating in such an event as the Road Conference allows us to present how the combination of geomatics, geotechnics, and modern technologies can help in the development and maintenance of transport infrastructure. And that geodesists, like geotechnical engineers, are intrinsic to the field. Our symbiosis means a more comprehensive offer for the customer.
At the conference, we highlighted the key areas of our work:
As they provide services in the field of geology and geotechnical engineering, they focus on discussions related to laboratory testing of soils, exploration and drilling works, or geotechnical supervision. In addition, after a hiatus of more than a year, GEOSTAR boasts a TATRA chassis HVS drilling rig in a new coat this year.
Approximately 70 companies from the industry presented at the conference. As part of a rich supporting program, we managed to establish new contacts and discuss current topics with key players in the market. We were interested in the lectures, for example on the topic of strategic investments in road infrastructure or the presentation of current projects such as the D3 motorway. The second day belonged mainly to the young generation. Connecting the world of work with the world of students has become more and more crucial for us in recent years, as educating future specialists means having enough quality employees in the years to come. That is why we also welcomed young participants from the YOUNG ROADS project at our stand, which connects students with representatives of the transport sector and shows them how they can contribute to infrastructure development. We are proud that our industry knowledge inspires future professionals.
From the 31st Road Conference, we take away not only new experiences and contacts but also confirmation that our work has an irreplaceable place in the field. We are looking forward to the next edition, which will take place in Brno on 10-11 September 2025.
